Our Commitment

At Kromo Tools, we aim to collect as little information as possible. Most of our tools run directly in your web browser, and you do not need an account to use them. This policy explains what is collected, by whom, and why.

Information We Collect

What you enter into our tools. We do not store the text, numbers or files you enter into our tools. Most calculations happen inside your browser. Some tools send your input to our backend (hosted on Vercel), which passes it to an outside AI service to produce a result (see "Third-Party AI Services" below).

Technical data collected automatically. When you visit any website, your browser shares technical data such as:

• IP address
• Browser type
• Device information
• Pages visited
• Time spent on pages
• Referral source

We do not use IP addresses to identify or track individual visitors. Some of our AI-powered tools do read your IP address to apply usage limits, as explained in the "Usage Limits & Abuse Prevention" section below. In addition, the services that deliver our website and tools receive this technical data when your browser loads our pages or uses our tools. These are Blogger (operated by Google), Google Analytics, advertising partners (such as Google AdSense, if ads are shown), Vercel (which hosts the backend used by some of our tools), and Upstash (which stores usage-limit counters). These services may process and log IP addresses under their own policies. In some regions, IP addresses and cookie identifiers are treated as personal data under privacy laws.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.

How We Use Information

The limited information involved is used to run and maintain our tools, understand how the site is used, prevent technical problems or abuse, apply fair-use limits on some tools, reply to your messages, and support advertising on our site.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser so it can remember things or recognise your device. On Kromo Tools, the following may be used:

• Platform cookies: set by Blogger/Google to keep the site working and measure basic traffic.
• Analytics cookies: set by Google Analytics to measure how visitors use the site.
• Advertising cookies: may be set by Google and its partners once ads are shown on the site (see the next section).
• Your cookie choice: our cookie notice saves a small marker in your browser so it does not ask you again.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Some features of the site or ads may behave differently if you do. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.

Google AdSense, Analytics & Advertising

We may display advertisements through Google AdSense. When ads are shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also visit aboutads.info to opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising.

When ads are shown and you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent to cookies used for advertising and measurement where required, and you can change your choice at any time.

We also use Google Analytics to understand traffic sources, device types and how visitors use our site, which helps us improve our tools. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-Party AI Services

Some of our tools (for example AI writing or image tools) use outside AI service providers through an API. When you use these tools, the text or content you enter is sent to our backend, which is hosted on Vercel, and passed on to the provider so it can generate your result. We do not store this content ourselves, but Vercel and the provider process it under their own terms and privacy policies.

Please do not enter passwords, financial details, health records or other sensitive personal information into any tool on this website.

Usage Limits & Abuse Prevention

Our tools are free, and some depend on paid or limited third-party AI services. To stop abuse and keep costs under control, some AI-powered tools apply usage limits. To do this, our backend (hosted on Vercel) reads your IP address and uses it to count how many requests come from the same source within a period of time. This counter is kept temporarily in a database provided by Upstash.

We use this only to prevent abuse, control costs and keep the tools available for everyone. We do not use it for advertising or to work out who you are, and we keep it only as long as needed to apply the limit. Vercel, which hosts this backend, and Upstash, which stores the counter, handle this data under their own policies. If you do not want this, you can choose not to use the AI-powered tools.

Data Retention & Security

We do not keep what you enter into our tools. If you contact us directly, we keep your message only as long as needed to deal with your request. Data held by Google, Vercel, Upstash, advertising partners and AI providers is kept according to their own policies.

We take reasonable steps to protect the website and any information we receive, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Kromo Tools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

GDPR, CCPA & Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to:

Under CCPA, you can also opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and we will not treat you differently for doing so. We do not sell personal information for money, but advertising cookies may count as "sharing" under some laws. You can opt out through the Google Ads Settings link above. If you are in the EU/UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Because we keep very little personal data about visitors, we may have little or nothing to give you in response to some requests. To make a request, email support@kromotools.net.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our tools, technology or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
